MONTROSE TRAVEL SELLS OUT ITS LARGEST CONFERENCE TO DATE

Montrose, CA, August 29, 2016– – Now in its eighth year of existence, MTravel™’ has sold out attendance at its Annual Educational Conference. The conference, designed to help attendees grow their travel businesses, will take place aboard the new Norwegian Escape this September 3-10, 2016.

A Family Affair

Independent travel professionals, preferred supplier partners and Montrose Travel staff will attend the conference. In addition, the top 5 host agency blocked a “Friends and Family” group aboard the ship to allow their agents to be able to share the Escape experience. Nearly 200 people in total will gather aboard in all.
“This is our first conference on a cruise of this length,” said Andi Mysza, President of MTravel. “With seven nights at sea and three ports of call, it was a unique opportunity to open the event up so agents could benefit from both conference sessions and time with their families.”

A Goodie-Bag of an Agenda

The conference agenda is packed with an eclectic assortment of events. Pre-conference attendees will be treated to a behind-the-scenes tour at Norwegian Cruise Line headquarters, meetings with key executives and the newest CLIA sessions to go towards their CLIA accreditations. Core-conference attendees will benefit from general and breakout sessions, small-group supplier roundtables, an exclusive tour of The Haven (Norwegian’s luxury accommodations) and multiple agent panels so agents can learn from their peers. The agenda, designed with the input of the conference attendees, will also feature several destination sessions spotlighting Australia, Italy and other hot destinations for 2016-2017.

Central to all the sessions offered will be significant opportunities for peer, supplier and Montrose Travel networking and engagement. “Always one of the highlights of conferences,” said Mysza.

While in port, agents will have the option to strengthen their supplier and destination knowledge with private excursions in St. Thomas, Tortola and Nassau, including a site inspection of Atlantis, the Baths at Virgin Gorda and cultural tours featuring a rum distillery and local chocolatiers. “We’ve balanced plenty of in-class training with opportunities for the agents to get out and see the Caribbean,” said Mysza. “We believe it’ll be our best event yet.”
