ReviewI spent many years as a corporate agent before taking some time away from the industry to do other things. When I decided I wanted to get back into travel, the independent contractor model really appealed to me – no more working for someone else! I signed on initially with another host, based on the recommendation of someone I knew who had been with them for years. I quickly realized that they were not a good fit for me, so I ended my relationship with them and started over again. Montrose kept coming up to the top of the list as I researched, and when I had my initial chat with Andi I knew I had found the right place. I have now been with Montrose for more than 5 years, and have been extremely happy with all aspects: the people, the support, the technology, and the training. The one thing I worried about, going into business for myself, was that I would feel isolated, but that has most definitely not been the case. From day 1 I have totally felt like a member of the Montrose family, and I have a fabulous group of colleagues in both the Montrose staff and my fellow ICs who are always there to give advice, high fives, and support. The annual training conference is always incredibly motivating, as well as being a lot of fun! All in all, it has been a great choice for me.
I do deliberately give them all 10s in the ratings - they are exceptionally easy to work with, the only commission issues I've ever had were vendor-related, the commission structure is very good (especially now that they've added the 90/10 split), the operational support is great, and I do feel like I get very good value for money in the annual fee.
