I started in the travel business as an outside agent some thirty years years ago while I was employeed full time. It was a good fit as I brought in business, the ladies in the office took care of everything and I received my share of the commission. Due to health issues of the owner, I moved to another angency after I retired from the full time world almost twenty five years ago. I met a number of BDM's that encouraged me to go on my own and the tour companies started issuing pseudo-ARC numbers. and I went on my own and then joined Travel Network/ Vacation Central. They have a great commission structure and Both Susan Mirabito and Derek Brent are great to work with. I still do air and book on the airlines website and add a service fee. This has been a great fit for me and I have gained more experience as well as confidence. If I need help, I can call the office. I don't believe it would fit if you are new.Does this review helpful?
