The Mark Travel Corp. Hosts Exclusive KHM Travel Group FAM in Milwaukee
July 19th, 2017 – For travel agents, FAM trips are available to a number of popular destinations…like Cancun, Punta Cana, and Jamaica.
And now, Milwaukee! Last month, several top-producing KHM Travel Agents and staff members attended The Mark Travel Corporation’s first-ever travel agent retreat at their headquarters in beautiful Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The Mark Travel brands, which include Funjet Vacations, Blue Sky Tours, United Vacations, and Southwest Vacations, are among KHM Travel Group’s Preferred Suppliers.
This unique opportunity was organized by our sales team from Mark Travel, Cheryl Hudak and Jennifer Greenfield. With the goal of giving our agents a better understanding of The Mark Travel Corporation, the group discussed the company’s core values, and ways to maximize their partnership through Groups, Price Match, Charters, and more.

One of the highlights was hearing Bill La Macchia Sr., the founder of The Mark Travel Corporation and current Chairman of the Board and CEO of La Macchia Enterprises. Mr. La Macchia Sr. rarely speaks in public, so this was a very special group!
Mark Travel covered a lot of ground in just one day, involving their Vice President Jacki Marks, their Implementation Team, Blue Diamond Resorts’ Todd Kirlik and Vonda Keeler, Travel Agency Engagement, their Groups department, Charter Price Match, Customer Care Team and Joel Peterson from the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.
“With this all-star lineup we were able to inspire the attending agents to embrace change, whether by a new technique within our VAX booking system or by more fully utilizing the many programs we have in place geared toward making the most of booking across The Mark Travel Brands,” added The Mark Travel team, in their internal press release.
Mark Travel also made sure the agents received personalized attention and feedback. For instance, at the end of the event, each agent was given their own sales report from Mark Travel.
They reviewed the reports as a group, and were called on to share their strengths in terms of the features they use most, such as Bonus Cash, Added Commission, Travel Insurance Waivers, etc. They also discussed ways in which they could improve their sales in each area.
