March 26, 2024 – Leading global travel host agency, 1000 Mile Travel Group’s Second Global Conference was a resounding success, with travel advisors and partners from the United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom gathering at the luxurious Hyatt Ziva Resort in San Jose Del Cabo, Mexico between March 14th to March 17th. Attendees seized the opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, and inspire each other during this exciting event.
With a focus on thriving in today’s rapidly-evolving travel industry, CEO and Co-Founder Nicola Veltman spoke about how the conference empowered travel advisors to revolutionize their businesses.

The dynamic conference agenda featured strategies for fostering continuous growth, with keynote speaker and professional development workshop leader Marques Ogden captivating attendees with his journey from NFL player, to hitting rock bottom, picking himself up again to evolve into a motivational speaker, business coach, and author. His message of resilience in the face of financial adversity struck a chord with all who heard it, inspiring them to overcome challenges on the path to success.
The North American 1000MTG Top Achievers were also announced at conference with winners taking home a dazzling trophy to flaunt their triumph plus the ultimate getaway with plush accommodations.

Reflecting on the conference, Travel Advisor Anne Cutaiar of Lake Champlain Travel shared her excitement, “it has been an amazing, information-filled conference that included keynote speaker Marques Ogden. In addition to the engaging professional development workshops, the conference also featured lively social events that offered opportunities for networking and team building. The “Taste of Mexico” segment included a demonstration from the culinary team at Hyatt Ziva on making the Mexican specialty Guacamole, followed by a session on the art of salsa dancing. The closing event, the Fluorescent Fiesta, held poolside at the Hyatt Ziva, was a truly memorable affair, complete with attendees showing off their glow-in-the-dark apparel and enjoying a cocktail reception and buffet dinner and dancing the night away. A surprise LED Circus added to the spectacle, leaving attendees in awe against the backdrop of the tropical pool and stunning Los Cabos beach.
